Summer has arrived, and we’re celebrating! This past week, the girls completed a great year at Christian Heritage School, which in Audrey’s words is the best school ever! 🙂 A real blessing for Audrey came when she discovered at the awards program she had reached a goal she”d set early at the beginning of the school year ~ Highest Honors, which means all A’s all year. Grace was thrilled to have finished her first year at an American school. She grew in her understanding of the English language and finished well! We were quite proud of both the girls. It was fun to celebrate with them.

Last week, CHS held a really fun talent show. Richard and I emcee’d and both of the girls performed. Audrey read an original story she’d written, and Grace sang a song with a friend. Both shined on the stage. I was very proud to see them step beyond their fears. At the end, they both were able to express a gratefulness for having done it. CHS has grown both the girls this year in many ways. They worked diligently and walked courageously through all the challenges and new experiences they faced.
This past week, we also visited Baylor University in Waco, TX for a campus tour. I had promised by the end of the school year we’d take Audrey, and I’m so glad we followed through with that promise. It was a great day, and we learned some very insightful things on how Audrey can prepare to attend this school. It’s a joy to watch our kids dream, and it really makes my heart sing when they look beyond the obstacles that might get in the way. Baylor isn’t an easy school to get into nor is it cheap, but Audrey isn’t looking at those things too intently. She knows she’ll need to work hard, and she trusts God to work miracles in her life. I love this picture below because her hands are open and lifted up. We’ve encouraged her to give her dreams to God, for He will never disappoint!
Grace returned to South Korea early this morning. We were sad to see her go but very happy she gets a couple months with her family this summer. It’ll be refreshing for her to have this time at home. She will be back mid-July, and we look forward to having her in our home once again for another school year!

Thanks for your faithful prayers and support! Since our last update, I’ve been able to get some of the much needed dental work done, and Audrey has raised a good portion of her summer camp money. Praise the Lord!! Also, our visit to the Dallas immigration office provided an open door as well. We have an appointment on June 7th with the Catholic Charities of Dallas and their Family Immigration Department. We’ve been told this group should be able to help us. We are hopeful. Please continue praying for us. This upcoming meeting will be a very important one. In order for Audrey to follow the dreams on her heart, she really needs her citizenship finalized! God’s got this!! 🇺🇸
In every prayer for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. For I am confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will continue to perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus! (Philippians 1:4-6)
We’re looking forward to a great summer. We are daily putting our hands to the plow here, praying for God to anoint our efforts. Unless the Lord builds the house, we labor in vain!! I don’t think I’ve written so much in all my life. From one blog to the next, I am seeking to tell everyone the amazing things God does!!! It’s actually a fun job to have! We really do long to see many come to our campus for discipleship, so we’re preparing the fields for the harvest that’s coming! Richard hopes to head to Mexico in July to join other YWAM leaders for some needed training in this area of missions and marketing. Please continue to pray for us as we are following Jesus in East Texas. 😀
Everyday, Richard and I, together, are taking our dreams to the Lord and trusting His way and timing. I am so thankful to be able to journey through this life with that wonderful man! 👫 I’m also so thankful for you all PARTNERING WITH US!. Couldn’t do this without you!
Love you lots!
Amy ❤️
Lord, I have chosen you alone as my inheritance.
You are my prize, my pleasure, and my portion.
I leave my destiny and its timing in your hands.
Your pleasant path leads me to pleasant places.
I’m overwhelmed by the priviledges that come with following you,
for you have given me the best! (Ps. 16:5-6)
Go, Fishes, Go!!! WE love you all here! And we are better just FYI!
