A few days ago as Amy reflected on the recent journey of life’s unknowns, she penned this little poem. Perhaps you’re in a season of life where the next step seems uncertain. We want to encourage you to hope in Him.
Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” (Isaiah 30:21)
Standing on a little patch of grass today with absolutely nothing in sight.
As I stare into the darkness, I’m overwhelmed with discouragement and fright.
Standing on a little patch of grass today with no knowledge of what comes next.
I don’t like this place of uncertainty, so I beg God to make this patch stretch.
Standing on a little patch of grass today without a clue of how things unfold.
I have a moment of joyful anticipation but then begin to feel quite old.
Standing on a little patch of grass today with only my sinful heart to see.
I’m convicted of pride and discontent rooting deep within me.
Kneeling on a little patch of grass today, wanting God to transform.
His love and grace washes over me; I feel like I’m reborn.
Standing on a little patch of grass today, bright green blades surround my feet.
There’s beauty in this place, filling my heart with joy and peace.
Standing on a little patch of grass today, I’m okay with not knowing the plan.
I trust my Father completely; On this patch I willingly stand.
